Overview

The Best of Nepal tour package covers Nepal's most popular circuit — Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan — in a relaxed 6 days and 5 nights. Often called the Golden Triangle of Nepal, it's the ideal first trip for Indian families, couples and leisure groups who want to see the country's temples, mountains and wildlife in a single journey.

You begin in Kathmandu with its UNESCO World Heritage sites — Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Swayambhunath and Kathmandu Durbar Square — then drive to Pokhara with a Manakamana cable-car Darshan on the way. In Pokhara you catch sunrise over the Annapurna range from Sarangkot and a boat ride on Phewa Lake, before heading to Chitwan National Park for a jungle safari in search of the one-horned rhino.

Indian nationals need no visa and no fee to enter Nepal, the Indian Rupee is widely accepted (₹1 ≈ NPR 1.6) with UPI live in tourist areas, and this Nepal tour package starts from ₹24,000 per person. Best time to travel: October to April.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival at Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.

HOTEL ABC  · B/L/D
Land at Tribhuvan International Airport, where Indian nationals clear the dedicated “Indian Nationals” desk — no visa, no fee, no paperwork. Our representative meets you and transfers you to your hotel by private A/C vehicle. The evening is yours to wander Thamel — the warren of prayer-flag-draped lanes, cafés and craft shops at the city's heart. We close the day with a welcome dinner set to live Nepali folk music and a cultural dance performance.

Day 2

Full day Kathmandu Sightseeing tour.

ABC  · B/L/D
A full day through the Kathmandu Valley's UNESCO World Heritage sites. Begin at Pashupatinath, the great riverside Shiva temple on the banks of the Bagmati, then the vast dome of Boudhanath — one of the largest stupas anywhere, ringed by monasteries and turning prayer wheels. After lunch, climb to hilltop Swayambhunath (the “Monkey Temple”) for its watchful painted eyes and valley views, and finish at Kathmandu Durbar Square, the old royal complex, with a stop at the Kumari Ghar — home of Nepal's living goddess.

Day 3

West to the Pokhara, via Manakamana Darshan

Set off for Pokhara (≈200 km, 6–7 hrs), the road tracing the Trishuli and Marshyangdi rivers through terraced hills. At Kurintar we break the drive with the highlight of the transfer: the Manakamana cable car, gliding up to the hilltop temple for Darshan of Goddess Bhagwati — built into the route at no extra detour. Arrive in Pokhara by evening and unwind with a sunset boat ride on Phewa Lake, the Annapurnas mirrored in the water and the lakeside slowly lighting up.

Day 4

Sunrise on the Annapurnas & a lakeside day

Hotel ABC  · B/L/D
An early drive up to Sarangkot for the trip's signature moment — sunrise breaking over the Annapurna range and the fishtail peak of Machhapuchhre, the snow turning gold as the valley below wakes. Back in town, we take in Davis Falls, the underground Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, the revered Bindhyabasini Temple and the hilltop World Peace Pagoda above the lake. The evening is free to enjoy Pokhara's Lakeside at your own pace.

Day 5

Pokhara to Chitwan

Hotel ABC  · B/L/D
Drive south to Chitwan National Park (≈150 km, 8 hrs), descending from the hills into the warm Terai lowlands. Check into your resort near Sauraha, then set out on a guided jungle walk and a visit to a traditional Tharu village to meet the indigenous community of the region. As the day cools, enjoy a Tharu cultural evening built around the famous stick dance — followed by dinner at the resort.

Day 6

Chitwan National Park safari & the flight home

ABC
Head out early on a jeep or canoe safari in search of Chitwan's star residents — the one-horned rhino, gharial crocodiles basking on the riverbanks, and the park's remarkable birdlife. After breakfast, we recommend the short Bharatpur–Kathmandu flight (about 25 minutes) over the 5–6 hour road transfer, connecting you smoothly to your onward departure. (The domestic flight is included in the Premium tier; it can be added to other tiers on request.)
